>> White Week

This week is called the ‘white week’. And it indeed is white, it’s been snowing on and off and the temperature is averaging around 0°. However.. that’s not the reason it’s called white week. The first week of January was the last week of classes in the 2nd quarter. After each quarter, we get a week with no classes and this is to study. The 2 weeks after the white week are the exam weeks. This is the time where you will see the library most occupied, with people spending hours over there, studying, working and more studying. Exams are an important thing (as in any university) and here in Delft you get to retake exams any number of times to improve your grades if you are not satisfied. However, that shouldn’t be an excuse for slacking! Exam periods occur in the end of every quarter and usually exams from the previous quarter are also held at the end of a quarter. This quarter is super heavy for me with 7 exams to take, I will be happy to survive this month!

Exams apart, it’s also the time when TU Delft has been announcing their application decisions for prospective students of Fall 2010. It is good to see the activity and keep track of what’s happening on some online communities and share advice and experiences. Another thing I am excited about is a really big magic convention coming up in February which I am looking forward to attending. Many of my idols and international stars will be coming and I cannot wait to meet them! But before that, there are exams to tackle..

I’ll leave you with a picture of the TU Delft library which is one of the most recognizable buildings on campus.

Tot gauw!
